EBART 2026: Highlights of a notorious edition

Published On: April 27, 2026

On 24 April, we brought a new edition of EBART in Barcelona to a close, following two intensive days of scientific activity, knowledge exchange and debate.

This 6th edition was also particularly special, as it coincided with the 10th anniversary of the congress, bringing together more than 2,000 attendees -both in person and online- from 52 countries. This is a reflection of EBART’s international reach and of the relevance it continues to gain year after year.

The first day focused on some of the main current challenges facing the sector: the role of artificial intelligence in clinical practice, the interaction between the endometrium and the embryo, a comprehensive approach to the uterus, and improvements in the male factor.

One of the highlights was the participation of Louise Brown in a discussion on the evolution of reproductive medicine. As the first person in the world to be born through IVF, she brought a truly unique perspective, reminding us that behind every advance there are real stories.

On the second day, we focused on the future of assisted reproduction, with topics including the evolution of the laboratory — increasingly automated and supported by AI — the ethical and legal challenges posed by these advances, the integration of genetics across all stages of treatment, and the importance of patient experience and access to innovation.

The congress concluded with a speech by Eugin Group’s Medical and Scientific Director, Amelia Rodríguez-Aranda, who highlighted the progress made over the years and how, together, we have consolidated EBART as one of the leading international events in reproductive medicine.
